Duane Albro

Duane Albro is currently Chairman of the Board of Squan, Inc., a private equity-owned national telecom infrastructure engineering and construction company headquartered in Carlstadt, NJ. Previously, Duane was the CEO at Squan. He joined Stony Hill advisors as an Advisor in 2021. He brings 28 years of C-level experience including the buying/selling of a dozen small to mid-size companies. He is also a highly experienced cloud services CEO having previously served as CEO of the ninth largest cloud communications provider in the U.S., traded on the New York Stock Exchange. Duane began his career as a lineman with the New York Telephone Company, a predecessor company to Verizon, and rose through the ranks to serve for seven years as the Group Vice President and New York region CEO for Verizon.

Duane brings extensive experience in working with private equity firms to turn around under-performing companies. He has done this work at the C-level in the telecommunications industry, including positions at a global cloud computing service provider, a metro-NY cable operator, a Northeast U.S.-based competitive telecommunications service provider and a cellular phone refurbishing business. He has also previously served as Chairman of the Board of a global NASDAQ-traded company that manufactures and sells safety garments and accessories for the industrial protective clothing market.

Duane has been active in supporting the positive impact of telecommunications in education, having served on a White House National Advisory Council on Technology in Education. He has also provided testimony to the U.S. Congress on the benefits of technology used in education and served on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce - Technology and E-Commerce Committee.

In the past, Duane has served on the boards of New York Medical College, New York Institute of Technology and the Purple Heart Hall of Honor. Duane currently serves on the board of the Night Stalker Foundation, a not-for-profit group focused on supporting the soldiers and families of the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne).

Duane holds an MBA from the New York Institute of Technology and a BSBA from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He has completed Executive Management Programs at the University of Virginia - Darden School and the University of Pennsylvania - Wharton School and is a member of the American Mensa Society.
