About Stony Hill

Mark Anthony Gargano began his career in banking and capital markets, working at esteemed institutions such as Wachovia Bank, Fifth Third, and Morgan Stanley.  During this time, he managed foreign exchange groups, pioneered cross-border debt products, and started commodity businesses from the ground up.  He gained valuable experience in navigating mergers, management, technology, and operations, understanding the importance of considering all these disciplines as part of a comprehensive banking service.  Mark established offices outside the United States, showcasing his ability to adapt and succeed in a global context. 

 After his successful career in banking and capital markets, Mark Anthony Gargano decided to join Bannockburn Global Forex as a Managing Partner in a sales role for the Southeast region.  This transition presented new challenges, as he had to engage in direct sales without an established brand, targeting small to mid-sized privately held companies.  Through this experience, Mark gained an appreciation for risk tolerance, the impact of businesses on the community, and the dedication of entrepreneurs who put their time, business, and capital on the line.  Mark managed the Southeast territory with diligence and perseverance, ultimately leading the privately held company to go public in 2019, just before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Now, Mark Anthony Gargano is embarking on a new venture focusing on mergers and acquisitions advisory and management consulting.  Given Mark's desire to be part of a team, and offer more services, Mark has joined Stony Hill Advisors as a Partner covering Tennessee.  Stony Hill specializes in providing business development and consulting services to lower middle market companies and small business owners across an array of industries and locations.  Stony Hill offers various professional services including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, capital strategies, financial restructuring, and management consulting.   

Mark has a Global MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and holds his CEPA designation as a Certified Exit Planning Advisor.
