Roy Y. Salisbury

Roy is a seasoned business executive, entrepreneur, investor, and strategic advisor with more than four decades of experience building, acquiring, operating, financing, restructuring, and advising privately held and public companies.

Throughout his career, Roy has approached business from virtually every side of the table as an owner, operator, buyer, seller, investor, principal, advisor, and consultant. That experience has given him a practical understanding of the financial, operational, and strategic issues business owners face when making decisions involving growth, acquisitions, recapitalization, succession, and liquidity.

Roy's experience spans more than 100 transactions and a broad range of industries, with engagements involving businesses ranging from approximately $500,000 to more than $50 million in size. His background includes mergers and acquisitions, strategic advisory, business and financial analysis, private capital formation, corporate restructuring, turnaround situations, and the development of both private and public companies.

His advisory philosophy is built around a simple principle: strategy should come before the transaction. Rather than beginning with a predetermined deal, Roy works to understand the owner's objectives, the company's financial and operational position, its underlying value drivers, available alternatives, and the long-term consequences of each decision. Roy began his entrepreneurial career in the early 1980s, building and operating privately held businesses before expanding into acquisitions, corporate restructurings, capital strategy, and advisory work. Over the following decades, his activities broadened to include M&A, private placements, public-company development, crisis management, and strategic consulting across numerous industries.
